Marriott 50,000 Point Sign Up Offer Ends Wednesday At 5PM EST

Although this isn’t as important as the British Airways 100,000 Avios offer ending, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the Marriott Rewards 50,000 Point Sign Up Offer ends Wednesday at 5PM EST.

While I haven’t officially reviewed the Marriott Card yet, for those of you who stay at Marriott often, getting the Marriott Credit Card is an easy way to top off your account with an extra 50,000 Marriott Points which is good for a free night or two.

By signing up for the Marriott Premier Rewards Credit Card, you get:

  • 50,000 Marriott Points After Spending $1,000 In 3 Months
  • 5 Points Per $1 Spent At Marriott
  • 1 Point Per $1 Spent Everywhere Else
  • 1 Free Night Certificate For Category 1-4 Property Every Account Anniversary
  • No Foreign Transaction Fees
  • 15 Nights Credit Toward Your Next Elite Membership Level Every Year Upon Account Anniversary
  • Earn 1 Elite Night Credit For Every $3,000 Spent
  • $85 Annual Fee Waived For The 1st Year

For people that stay at Marriott, this is really an excellent Credit Card.

Outside of the 50,000 Point Sign Up Bonus that you get after only a $1,000 minimum spend, the fact that every year you get a free night at a Category 1-4 Marriott property is awesome because that certificate is worth way more than the $85 annual fee (which is waived for the first year).

Essentially for $85 annually, you are getting a free night certificate potentially worth over $200+.

I just did a quick search in Chicago and found a Category 5 property that normally would cost $209.00 a night, however with the annual free night certificate, it would be free!

Also when you realize that a Category 5 property normally costs 25,000 points a night, then essentially with the Marriott Card, they are giving you a free 25,000 Points every year in the form of a free night certificate!

Awesome!

Additionally if you are going for Elite Status with Marriott, by having this Card you can knock 15 nights off of re-qualifying, which means you are essentially 30% closer to Gold Status (50 Nights) and 20% closer to Platinum Status (75 Nights).

While I wouldn’t just sign up for this Marriott Card out of the blue, the sheer fact that you get a free night certificate every year and 15 nights credit towards Elite Status, makes this Card especially attractive for people who stay primarily at Marriott.

Also the Marriott Credit Card is an excellent complement to Marriott’s Best Rate Guarantee, which allows you to knock over 25% off the cheapest Marriott price you can find. More information on how to easily find a Marriott Best Rate Guarantee to save you 25% can be found here.
