Welcome To The New Frequent Flyer University!

As you can see, I have made some drastic changes to the site!

Although it is still a work in progress, hopefully the site is now easier to read and navigate.

There are still a few bugs like the spacing and linking of old pages, so if you come across that or any other problems please email me.

Two Important Things:

1. If you subscribe by RSS, you will need to re-subscribe by clicking on the link on the left side of the page.

2. If you subscribe by email, you will also need to re-subscribe by submitting your email on the left side of the page.

Anyways hope you enjoy the new redesign, and if you have any feedback (good or bad) please let me know and I will try to incorporate it!

  1. Wowzers, big change! I liked the old green. I thought it was really clean already! Biggest issue I have with the new setup is that the page dimension is set to a fixed width and it's too wide. Even better would be if it was setup with CSS to automatically reformat as the user adjusted the browser size, but that's even more complicated. Just reduce the overall width and you'll be alright. I haven't seen a site this wide in a really long time. Checkout frugaltravelguy.com and look at the skinny fixed column. Millionmilesecrets.com has the CSS that auto adjusts the layout as the viewer changes the size of their browser box – check that out too! I'm not sure what the standard fixed width is now for the average site, but check some out – frugaltravelguy, even cnn.com – it cascades as you adjust the browser box, but gets locked down to the skinny perfectly sized column at a certain point. Can you get it to that size?

  2. Hi Parag, First thing I noticed is your header..It's little bit annoying because of the size..when I open the page, it's almost taking 75% of my laptop screen. It shouldn't take more than 30-40% of the laptop/desktop screen when I open the web page. Again this is my point of view.. :)..I like your postings very much.

  3. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll try to make the header smaller and see if getting the CSS to readjust is an option.

  4. Nice redesign. My only suggestion is to change the color of comments. The red immediately draws my eye and makes it difficult to focus on what you really want – your content! nothing wrong with black text, Also, the font seems to be much larger, which is also offsetting. Keep your reader focused on what you write, us followers are just here for the ride 🙂

  5. @Thomas – Thanks for the feedback. Yeah it was originally just black but I thought it blended it too much. I'll try switching it to a light color.
