Now Is A Great Time To Buy Luggage
So I don’t know if anyone else is in the market for Luggage, but since Thanksgiving is coming up, I thought I would point out that it is an excellent time to buy Luggage if you need some.
My Parents are going to India in 2 weeks and they need some new Luggage so I told them I would look and it seems there are really some great deals going on due to Thanksgiving.
I personally have the Samsonite Winfield 2, 3 piece spinner set. I have been so happy with it that I decided to buy it for them.
I have reviewed my luggage before but basically why I love this set is because it has a hard poly-carbonate exterior that is basically unbreakable. I’ve taken it probably over 200,000 miles to Australia, India, Europe, etc and it has never had a single issue. Plus because of the hard shell, I always bring back wine bottles, etc and have never had a single bottle break on me.
Additionally, Samsonite Bags comes with a 10 year warranty! I just assumed that Tumi, Rimowa, and other high-end luggage had a similar warranty or lifetime warranty, but surprisingly most of those brands only have 5 year warranties.
Although having “designer” luggage is cool, I think it only makes sense if you are going to carry it on. I don’t understand how people can buy a $1,000 suitcase that is going to be checked. Not only is it going to be damaged from normal wear & tear, but checking high end luggage makes you a target for theft.
I searched online for the Samsonite Winfield set and found the following:
The best part about all of these sites, is that there is free shipping, no sales tax, and you can get cash back if you click through a shopping portal.
So for IrvsLuggage.com on Evreward.com, if you click through Mr. Rebates or TopCashBack, you can get 8% back + any coupons they might have.
So all in all, you could get this 3 piece set for $321, which is a steal.
Of course, I would recommend waiting until after Thursday, since all of the above sites will surely have additional sales on BlackFriday and CyberMonday.
If you aren’t picky about buying a complete set of luggage, a great place to buy individual pieces of luggage is TJ Maxx or Marshalls. They have a huge selection and some of the Samsonite, Tumi, and Briggs & Riley bags you find there for $100 can easily retail for $400+.
