Fairmont Visa – Annual Fee Waived For The First Year

Annual Fee Waived For First Year

Via One Mile At A Time and Rom’s Deals, it looks like there is an offer for the Fairmont Visa with the $95 annual fee waived for the first year!

Link To Card

If you remember, I just got this card 2 weeks ago in my most recent round of credit card applications.

Unfortunately, the version I signed up for did not have the $95 annual fee waived so I will probably email Chase a screen shot of the new offer and try to get matched.

The Fairmont Card is like the Hyatt Card in that they give you 2 free nights for signing up.

These types of “free night” sign up bonuses are far more valuable than “hotel point” sign up bonuses because there is no cap on where you can use the free nights.

This means you can use the free night certificates at the most expensive and luxurious properties!

A full list of Fairmont properties can be found here.

As I stated in my earlier post, these free nights are great if you want to go skiing at Whistler or anywhere else in Canada this Winter (or Summer for that matter after seeing the Fairmont Lake Louise below).

If you prefer a more tropical location, there are 2 Fairmont properties in Hawaii (Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui is below) and 6 Fairmont properties in Mexico.

If you are thinking about getting this Card now that the annual fee has been waived for the first year, then please GET ON IT NOW!

Given that this offer isn’t showing up on Chase.com or Fairmont.com, there is a strong possibility that someone found it by accident or by snooping.

Typically these types of accidental offers aren’t meant for the general public, so they get pulled by Chase fairly quickly once they hit the blogosphere (and yes, I understand the irony in that statement).

I got a bunch of emails from Readers saying that after reading my post on the Chase Sapphire Preferred MasterCard, they were planning on signing up for it but waited and within 2 days, the link was dead!

Therefore, if you want this Card without the $95 first year annual fee, get it while you can because you never known how long these deals will last for!

Recap

The Fairmont Card in my opinion is as great as the Hyatt Card!

Although it depends on which properties you stay at, the 2 free nights that come with this Card can easily be worth $1,500+.

As usual, if you and your travel partner (spouse, significant other, friend, etc), both sign up for this Card, then that is basically 4 free nights at any Fairmont property!

Not bad for 10 minutes of work!
