If there is one thing that I do love about Social Media, it is the awesome promotions for free points that Hotels and Airlines run.
In recent years, Hotels and Airlines have quickly realized that a local promotion for 1,000 Points at some rural hotel can quickly go viral and inadvertently get thousands of people to sign up!
Therefore they have learned their lesson and mostly stopped running these types of social media promotions.
However it seems Hampton Inn which is owned by Hilton, is trying their luck with a social media promotion that offers 500 free Hilton HHonors Points for “Liking” their Facebook page and “watching” a video.
Points will post in 6 – 8 weeks!

While 500 Hiltons Points won’t get you a free room, it is a start.
It is these types of silly free promotions that earned me 1,150 free Hilton Points over the last year.
This combined with the Free Hilton Gold Status offers that are occasionally available, are an extremely way to get a Free Status Match to other hotels like I did with Radisson!
