British Airways 100,000 Avios Offer Is Back
British Airways 100,000 Avios Offer
In case you haven’t heard, the British Airways 100,000 Avios is back!
I am honestly surprised that Chase brought it back so soon, since they typically bring in back once a year in the Spring time for a limited engagement.
For those of you not familiar with the offer, it is as follows:
- 50,000 Avios after you make $1,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening
- 25,000 Avios after you make $10,000 in purchases within the first year of account opening
- 25,000 Avios after you make an additional $10,000 in purchases also within the first year of account opening
Although the Minimum Spend for the full 100,000 Avios is fairly high, as you can see, you can sign up for the Card and spend $1,000 and get 50,000 Avios!
To me that is a really great deal!
Helpful British Airways Posts
I have written many posts about this offer in the past, so feel free to take a read:
Honestly this Card is terrible if you want to fly to Europe due to high fuel surcharges on awards, BUT I personally love British Airways Avios for the sole reason that you can use them for free flights on American Airlines with NO fuel surcharges!
Almost all domestic flights I take in the United States, I use Avios because it is such a great deal!
Just last month I redeemed 30,000 Avios for 2 free flights to Montreal on American Airlines in January to go skiing. If I didn’t have Avios, those flight would have cost $708 each!
So the 30,000 Avios I got from the last British Airways 100,000 Avios offer saved me around $1,400 for that trip.
I also used 20,000 Avios to fly to FTU in Los Angeles on American Airlines last weekend saving me around $300!
Recap
If you have never had the British Airways Card before, I suggest getting it.
The value you can get from Avios when used on American Airlines is AMAZING!
Although at first look the $20,000 Minimum Spend Requirement looks extremely intimidating, when you realize that you can only spend $1,000 and get 50,000 Avios, it is really an amazing deal!
I had my Parents sign up for this offer in June and since there is no Foreign Transaction Fees, they are currently using their British Airways Card in India!
